About this deal

I've been messing around trying to do Heresy Thousand Sons for a little while now, I have been able to get reasonable but inconsistent results airbrushing Tamiya Clear Red over silver, but I am finding it annoying to use. However, up till now I've been using Reaper paints and really enjoy how they're pre-thinned and the dropper bottles.

I use them the most for OSL lighting, since I can OSL shade the base colors, use the transparents to maintain the shading but color it, and then put the OSL light source on top. When painting with a brush, it is recommended to use those with natural bristles (for example: PREMIUM SIBERIAN KOLINSKY BRUSH – 1 , High Grade Pointed Brush Sml - DC719 or HG Flat Brush - Small ).I may have been using it wrong, but I use it a lot for blood, as it has a very nice, glossy look to it. NO, but your post in the other thread is what prompted the idea of getting rid of decals and going with paints onto the lexan body instead.

If you edit the title of your thread and ask for help getting a gloss finish on cars, you might catch there attention. The Tamiya stuff needs a lot more thinning than other airbrush paint and being alchohol based needs it's own thinner. Are there other good alternatives, or should I suck it up and add a Citadel bottle to my Reaper collection? This should not be a problem on normal clear bodies as the gloss is seen outside, so even matt paint will appear gloss. Not red, but 2x aluminum, Tamiya metallic orange, a couple of light coats of Tamiya clear orange (which isn't super-shiny when dry), and TS-13. However, it should be pointed out that excessive use of water can significantly reduce its adhesion to the surface, and in extreme cases, lead to the drying of the paint falling off the model. They are suitable to paint plastic model kits and come in three finishes, gloss, flat and translucent. I'm trying to decide which paint scheme is going to work best for painting the Burning of Prospero Thousand Sons force. Thanks Nikola, I've tried so many different acrylic clears, and all have seemed to take an age to dry.
