About this deal

Both sets are non-fatiguing, but the IT00 have better clarity and micro-details. Soundstage and imaging is better on the E3000. The IT00 have detachable cables, but suffer from significant driver flex, which can be a deal-breaker for some. Vs. Tanchjim Tanya The BL-03 comes in a tall, white box that has a transparent top, giving you a view of the IEMs inside which are seated in a plastic tray. There’s not much else in the box, except for 3 pairs of silicone eartips, the detachable cable and a fabric carrying pouch. The Final Audio E1000/E2000, which has the same problems as the Carbo Tenore but with even worse QC issues than the BL03, and so hardly gets my personal recommendation I’ll take this opportunity to clown on BLON’s name, which stands for: “ Belief, Letmusicburn, Oppoty, Nevergiveup”.

Just the review I’ve been waiting for, thanks Crabbos. Final question … how would you compare the Blon to the Toneking Nine Tail (details, clarity, instrument separation, …). Same league technically?

The Blon BL-MAX is a grand sounding iem with an easy listening character and can offer a huge bass experience without sacrificing much in overall clarity. Treble: Treble sounded natural and airy sounding with an above average sparkle up top. They present with more emphasis and a decent number of details. No harshness was detected making them pleasant to most listeners. Disclaimer : This unit was won on a raffle between my audio peers. No money was involved during this review, rest assured that everything written on this review will be unbiased. Smooth operator? Smooth criminal? The keyword to describe the E3000 is “smooth”, as Santana would say! Comparisons

BLON persists with the idea of a soft V-profile, trying to stretch the extension of the treble, although it remains soft, with a point of clipping due to a clear drop before the air region. The mids feel moderately delayed in front of the bass and first treble, which impoverishes the overall tuning result. That deep bass defies belief considering the size of the tiny drivers in these IEMs, and I was able to enjoy bags of it on some of my favourite electronic music. Four-Tet’s Baby, with its luscious bass blooms, was a joy to listen to with these. I prefer to use the bi-flange spinfit tips, which provide a deeper insertion and offer enough flexibility to seat the BL-03 securely, which is hard given their shape and short nozzle for me personally. When the seal is right, it sounds good. Build quality is nice with the metal body. Considering the price, you get what you pay for with the wire, so I can't complain there either. Some earphones manage to rip through the curtains of anonimity and become highly-hyped products that everyone seems to be looking for. That’s the case for the BLON BL-03, which are the first really widely-acclaimed product by the Chinese manufacturer. That’s not without merit: the BL-03 are really good for their price. Are they as good as some picture them though? Let’s find out.
