About this deal

STAGS AND HENS takes place in the Ladies and Gents Toilet’s of a decaying 1980’s Liverpool Dancehall. Eddy (Teddy Scotchmer) is palpably disillusioned and on edge, the captain of a local football team that is also keen to be protective of his peers. That said, for a twenty-first century discerning audience there’s something a tad outdated and, dare I say it, unimaginative about a woman’s future seemingly hanging in the balance, only to be suddenly placed on relatively more solid ground by a man who swoops in and sets her straight by telling her what to do. Aside from that, it is, by and large, fun as befits the setting (of the nightclub, that is, not the conveniences therein) of this energetic show. You only get one chance to make sure your hen or stag party is perfect, so the team at Infinity Weekends makes it their priority to ensure that this will be the case in all of its 30 destinations both in the UK and abroad. If you do decide to have two events, be prepared that some friends might only be able to make one of them. What Are The Benefits To A Sten Party? She said one of the days all the girls on the hen decided to go one way, and the boys on the stag decided to go another. One of the girls with the hens got “super drunk” and went into a booth with a glory hole. Being drunk, the girl just decided to give head to the guy on the other side of the wall through the hole.

Indoor Skydiving One of the best ideas for a Sten Party is to book a weekend away with all the stags and hens together. This could be booking a party house in the UK, or hopping on a flight to somewhere warm to party on the beach as one big friendship group. Escape rooms are a really popular Sten Do activity as they’re well suited to lots of different players and can be done all over the country. Are you looking for a sten party activity for a group of football fans? Then you could book a football stadium tour, although we wouldn’t want to be there if you end up with fans of rival teams in your sten party… Ogh...God! Did y'see the state of him. An; he was serious. He tried to get off with me1 He was all of four foot nothin'. You should have given yours the elbow straight away. Didn't y'see me tryin'? "Are you stayin' up?" he says to me. All three foot six of him starin' up at me. I said "I don't know about stayin' up, don't y' think y' better sit down before y' get trodden on." He didn't have any feelings. He just ignored everythin'. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I said to him, "Look son, I'll let y' into a secret, it's no use tryin' it on with me, I'm a lesbian..." It did no good. "That's alright", he said, "I like a challenge," By this time I'm dancin' away again, hopin' no-one'd see me with him. And honest to God, he's so small he kept gettin' lost. I'm just walkin' away when he appaears again. "Goin' for a drink are we?" he says, I said to him, "Ey you'd better run along, Snow White'll be lookin' for you." Ey he didn't get it though. "Oh I'm sorry", I said, "But I thought you were one of the seventh dwarfs." He started laughin' then, y'know, makin' out he's got a sense of humour. "Oh yeh", he says, "I'm dozy," I said "Your'e not friggin' kiddin'..." I'm walkin' away an' he's shoutin' after me "Ey I'll see y' in the bar, I'll be in the bar. I said "Yeh, an that's the best place for you, along with every other pint that think's it's a quart!"

I gather I performed a really weak version of this monologue, but in my voice lessons with my other lecturer, I performed it really well with a much stronger accent!! So although it's definitely not suitable for auditions, it's definitely a monologue I want to keep to hand for the future, because it shows people a bit more of what I can do on stage!! I wanted to know talk to you about the suitability of this monologue for auditions. And to start us off, no. It's really not suitable for an audition. Although the gender and age range of Bernadette is right for my acting age, and the length of the piece is just about suitable. They don't like you doing an accent; unless you can do it word perfect! - which I cannot! I still performed this monologue because I know my lecturer allowed me to do an accented piece, but I understand that this would be one that I could never use for an audition. The accent I do is ok, I feel confident doing it now after working a lot on it, however I know it's not perfect and no where near strong enough to perform for an audition. In terms of how fun and up beat the monologue is, I think it would be a really strong audition piece for me (excluding the accent issue!) For auditions, they like you showing yourself but also showing a little bit more. People see me as fairly quiet and show, but once you get to know me, I'm a little bit more confident and louder, perhaps a little bit like Bernadette. This piece allows me to go wild a little bit, and although I don't like doing that an awful lot on stage, I can do it! The monologue itself isn't actually a monologue, its more of a duologue but with the other characters lines cut out of it. So the first thing I had to do was to cut it up and make sure it made sense.Similar to my As You Like It monologue, we are aware that Bernadette is talking to people but its not necessary that these characters need to be present at the time. Carol is the main character in this section of the scene, and its mainly Bernadette telling her all about this guy whom 'tried to get off with me'. Carol although described as innocent is still just as loud and feisty as Bernadette. Innocences means nothing when it comes to Carol describing the guy who tried chatting her up: "I had to Berni. He made me feel ill, honest. I hate ugly people!" http://www.lyttonplayers.co.uk/Previous%20Productions/Stags%20and%20Hens/Characters.htm The one-stop destination for all the hen fun you could ever need. Russel has an ear for dialogue and an eye for the ironies of life, especially when his characters are following petty conventions. His keen insight makes 'Stags and Hens' his best play after 'Educating Rita'. The ending is neatly left open, but the fatal words "who'd be married today if we took notice of how we feel?" stay behind to haunt us. His first play was 'Keep Your Eyes Down Low' written in 1971. His first success was a play about The Beatles called 'John, Paul, George, Ringo and Bert' which opened in the West End in 1974. His best-known works are 'Educating Rita' (which was made in to a film in 1983), 'Shirley Valentine' (filmed in 1989), and the musical 'Blood Brothers'. Russell has written songs since the early 1960s, and has written the music to most of his plays and musicals.

This might not be to everyone’s taste to begin with, but a cooking class means you get to all do something together, and then reap the rewards after by sitting down to eat together. Then there’s a twist. Apparently there’s a button in these booths, where if both people push it they can reveal the identity of the person on the other side, as the wall becomes see through like a window. Stags and Hens is a play written by Willy Russell. Like most of Willy Russell's work, the play discusses working class society in England in the 1970s. It makes comments about the working class' intellect, life, party habits and the exclusion of the different. If you’re wondering if you should have a joint stag and hen party then there are a few things to consider. Not only is our service completely free to use, as we are based on the Magaluf strip, we are here to help should you have any questions while in the resort or before you come. After shifting around the monologue and cutting out Carol's lines, I realised it was really quite short! But for auditions they don't want to see anything over two minutes long; this monologue falls just a bit over one minute so I settled with this. I then had the choice as to what accent I wanted to do. Obviously the intention for the play is for it to be done in a Liverpool accent but I know that I can't do that awfully well! I can't do any accents well, saying that, however I wanted to challenge myself and also make this piece as contrasting to the other two monologues. So I began to work on researching the Liverpool accent: Find sources: "Stags and Hens"– news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR ( July 2012) ( Learn how and when to remove this template message)
