About this deal

However, the success of the Orient Bambino has led the brand to create several generations that, despite maintaining the same elegant and traditional spirit, have different design and operational features. A watch enthusiast will tell you that its minimalist styleis their main takeaway from this Bauhaus-inspired model.

Unfortunately, the Orient Bambino 36mm doesn’t offer the same possibilities. While the market might not really support smaller watches right now, it would be nice to see the Bambino 36mm offered in a few more colors. Another attractive feature of these timepieces is their movements. Orient exclusively outfits Bambino watches with robust and precise As with other versions, you can only choose a particular color for your dial with its corresponding case/s. Other than the Orient Multi Year Calendar released in 1976, the 70s and 80s were rather unremarkable for the brand. It wasn’t until 1991 that Orient produced another innovative design: The Orient Mon Bijou. The second-generation Bambinos come in five different versions. Versions I, II, III, and IV run on Orient Caliber F6722, which is an upgraded 48743 of sorts.

You might expect that Version 1 of the Orient Bambino watch series would be the most vintage or elegant. All the versions mentioned above feature a domed mineral crystal and are water-resistant up to approximately 30 meters. They also come in similar cases that are not luxurious but still complement their contents. You can also tell the hour markers apart from other markings with their more rounded shape tapering at the end. This is quite acceptable considering that it is one of the most economical mechanisms of the brand.

One thing we love is the classical appeal the Open Heart exudes. Its classic dress watch appeal shines brightly in a busy and crowded room. Each generation maintains the same clean and traditional design with a domed crystal, but they do not use the same internal movement, which can make a difference in their operation in the eyes of experts. You have the control to recharge the watch for power reserve. Also, you can manipulate the date and hands in a manual setup.

Watch for Tomorrow

IT DOES IF you want a timepiece that strays from the traditional design and anything LESS than ordinary.

The Bambino 36mm is essentially a shrunken, more modest version of the full-size Bambino. Orient Bambino 36mm

In terms of size, all versions (including the special editions) have a diameter of 40.5 mm, except for the fourth version, which measures 42 mm. These sizes may be slightly larger than what is typically used for a dress watch, but they fit perfectly on most male wrists. Just imagine…wearing this watch with a t-shirt and shorts while sipping on coffee and eating avocado toast in an outdoor cafe would definitely get heads turning! The first-generation Bambinos feature a Japanese caliber 48743 with 21 jewels, capable of providing 40 hours of power reserve and an accuracy of +- 15 seconds per day.
