About this deal

For those that merely want a solid AC2400 router, there are cheaper options, but they don’t come with all the telephone functionality or the flexibility of the Fritz! FRITZ!OS – ένα πλήρως εφοδιασμένο λειτουργικό σύστημα How many devices can I connect to the Fritz!Box 7530 AX? The Fritz!Box 7530 AX can support a large number of connected devices, making it suitable for households with multiple users and devices. First of all, a reminder than the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX hasn’t had a UK launch, and there doesn’t seem to be any immediate plans to launch it. Which limits the appeal since most of my readers are in the UK. However, it is not a huge problem dealing with two-pin plugs.

This router has Smart Connect or band-steering, that is, we will have an SSID shared by the two frequency bands, and the router will be in charge of placing us in the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, depending on the coverage received by the WiFi client. It also supports WiFi roaming if we configure a WiFi Mesh network with the manufacturer’s devices, the roaming makes use of the 802.11k / v standards so that the transition between the Mesh router and the Mesh repeaters is totally transparent. AVM currently have 5 separate repeaters but only the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 is WiFI 6 equipped. All the repeaters can work as standard old fashioned repeaters allowing you to use them with any brand. But when you pair them up with a FRITZ!Box they will make use of the mesh functionality allowing you to retain the same SSID around your home with fast roaming features. The Router needs 12v 1.5amps, whereas the power lead I have for the AVM FRITZ!Box 7590 is 12v 2.5amps. The random plugs I have around the house that are 12v 1.5amps didn’t fit this Router. Features / Mesh In RedesZone we have made a complete video with the unboxing and first impressions of this new router from the German manufacturer AVM, before seeing it, we have to explain the differences with respect to the FRITZ! Box 7530 model that has been with us for several years. Although this router is physically very similar to the FRITZ! Box 7530 model, and even they are called practically the same, the differences between both models are very important for you to choose the ideal router correctly:

That’s a general overview of what the 7590 AX offers, but it has some subtle enhancements regarding the telephone functionality. In use

Credit to AVM for building a router that, like its forebears, doesn't look like any other router out there, but its visual appeal is questionable at best. Final verdict That all this technology is crammed into a box just 256mm wide, 200mm deep, and 60mm high is impressive. Its small enough that it can be placed on any flat surface or wall mounted as required.

FRITZ!OS – a fully loaded operating system

As you might have guessed, this is therefore essentially the same as the FRITZ!Box 7530 but with significantly improved WiFi. In my academic pursuits, I earned a BSc in Information Systems Design from UCLAN, before advancing my learning with a Master’s Degree in Computing. This advanced study also included Cisco CCNA accreditation, further demonstrating my commitment to understanding and staying ahead of the technology curve. The AVM FRITZ!Box range has always been one of the best all-in-one solutions for your home networking. I like the features from the router interface enough that I still use my 7590 to handle DHCP even though I no longer need the modem or WiFi functionality. What I can comment on is the speeds detected using the WiFi Speed Test Pro app on a pair of Android phones – a Huawei Mate 10 Pro and a The complexity of this device and the flexibility of its Fritz!OS Linux-based operating system would align well with users that like to get the most out of their equipment. However, for non-technical customers, it might be a little overwhelming. Performance

Passionate about all things technology, my expertise spans from computers and networking, to mobile, wearables, and smart home devices. At close range, using an AC-capable WiFi adapter, it is possible to achieve close to 900Mbit/s, though this would only be to a local NAS box or server unless you have 1000Mbit or better Internet.

There is something a little ‘old school’ about the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX, but in a good way. It’s a solid solution that has all the technology that most home and small business users would appreciate. It's not bad, by any means, but middling Wi-Fi performance puts all those additional extras (and the 7590's pretty high price) into perspective if you're not going to take full advantage of them. For a SOHO situation, it's a good one-stop shop that's easy enough to micromanage and expand as the situation dictates – and the app management and comprehensive firmware put those controls at your fingertips. We dislikedAVM also has a side line in Fritz!-branded smart home devices including smart plugs, and smart radiator thermostats. While these aren’t as well known in the UK as brands like Honeywell and Hive, if you’re keen on being able to control your heating and cut down on bills, there’s the option to do that and control everything via your router.
