Over more than a decade, he has interviewed a wide-ranging group of public figures, from comedian Steve Coogan to icons from the Star Trek universe, cast members from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reality stars from numerous Real Housewives cities and the Below Deck franchise. I asked her what has been some of her favorite reactions to the film so far now that it has been out and more people are seeing it.

Meet Izzy – After young Izzy and her family (including her brother Maurice) move in next door to Buzz, the adorable, talkative girl bursts into Buzz’s home, warms up to Sox, and asks Buzz a lot of questions. In 2000, Walt Disney Television Animation released a direct-to-video film promoting the then-upcoming animated series, featuring Patrick Warburton as the action hero. Lightyear was released on digital and on Disney+ on August 3, 2022, and on DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, and 4K Ultra HD on September 13, 2022. Lightyearis so unbelievable sweet in the story that it tells and it’s a beautiful look at time, loss, and accepting the help of those around you. In preparation for the release, I spoke with star Dale Soules about the film, the reception of it, and the joy of playing Darby Steel.

They feel like the emotional lessons that are there are embedded in such a way that you’re not like ‘oh I see what they’re trying to say. Some of them have had theatrical releases too, but due to many theaters being closed, the releases weren’t exclusive.

But Lightyear showed me why Andy would have wanted that new toy, the joy that this movie would have brought to an entire generation.

Titled Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, the show had little creative input from Pixar and has never been officially released anywhere, including Disney+.
