A definite must read IMHO - but I'd recommend reading Man Candy and After We Fall before picking up If You Were Mine. Theo’s past sweeps into their present, slowly poisoning his hopes and dreams as he fights against his self-built walls. The characters are well written, their back stories are interesting and the overriding story is of a couple learning to trust their feelings and give in to them.

It was fun, sweet, heart-breaking, and swoon-worthy with a hot and lovable hero and a strong and relatable heroine.But when Claire sets up a meeting with “Fred” a few days before the wedding, he’s not at all what he looks like in the catalog. Tall, dark and handsome suits me just fine, but the cocky grin, know-it-all attitude, and mammoth ego?

Claire is an immensely endearing and compassionate heroine who wants nothing more than love in her life.After realizing all of his actions as a rebellious kid put him smack dab where he didn't want to be for a year. Word spreads in the faculty room about her phantom boyfriend, and now she has no choice but to find a date. After looking at their catalog, she sees Fred, a man who could play the role of her imaginary boyfriend. I only found out when the heroine Claire started talking about her bestfriends and I thought how good their back stories was that compelled me to recheck if I just missed the series title.
