The menus themselves are not the greatest visually and suffer when viewed on larger screens (like our 40-inch test model) becoming rather blocky. I'm used to slow EPG population as the Thomson TUTV box takes ages to populate the EPG when I turn the box on after the box has been turned on at the mains, can not understand why though when the TUTV box downloads it's EPG every morning at 11:30.

I bought this because my previous Bush PVR, which was only 18 months old, had started playing up so badly it was no longer usable. Well I've been using the box for a few days now and it's been fine, never missed a recording or locked up.

Editable time skip buttons - as well as usual fast forward and rewind - so you can skip backwards or forwards with one touch (I have mine set to skip back by 15 seconds and forward by 1 minute). Is the build quality of the box good because the TUTV box looks cheap and does not feel good quality, and my Humax Foxsat-HD Freesat stbs build quality is very good and looks and feels good quality compared to the TUTV box? As it was factory refurb and reset I had to put a code in for something (can't remember what) and it was 3 or 4 zeros. Perhaps my fan isn't working but then it doesn't seem to get really hot so maybe it just has a quiet fan?I was very impressed, not only with the quality of the product, but also with the speed with which it arrived. I was not looking forward to the end of analogue have used VHS tapes for so long and enjoying the convenience of taking them from one room or house to another. They also say that it worked straight out of the box and pulled in all the available digital channels.
