There's very little, if anything truly *new* about this book, and the material that is considered new? This didn't feel like a full enough story to be retold in the way it was and it was just a waste of time having to backtrack through all of that just to cherry pick whatever new experiences Will had to offer in the narrative. Unable to deny her pleas, Will is forced to unlock painful memories, revealing his most intimate feelings and thoughts to Layken.

This Girl is the third and final installment in the Slammeds-series by Colleen Hoover and just like the first two books, Slammed and Point of Retreat, I have LOVED every single moment of reading this book. There's really not much more to say, the majority of us know Lake and Will's story, and for a retelling CoHo did an amazing job. They were both left to take care of younger siblings, and become parents themselves long before they should have. Waking up to one another for the first time as husband and wife, Layken finally begins to feel secure, knowing that she has Will's future.I don’t want to mention too many details of the story, but I have to say that what brought it all together for me, what catapulted this book into the stratosphere for me was the realness and beauty of all of the characters. I normally hate the same book/different point of view thing this genre tends to put out, but CoHo mixed it up and included a bunch of new in with the old.

The perfect pan of basagna, the perfect glass of chocolate milk on the rocks - the perfect send off for my favorite book couple of all time. And then, finally, after the alternate story of Slammed has been caught up, Will and Lake’s story progresses even farther ((cue the squeeling)) including an absolutely perfect, utterly beautiful, heartwarming epilogue that literally left me smiling, crying and shaking. It was riveting, captivating, and I was so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t even notice that I literally read until the sun came up. of our deliveries are made by Royal Mail as we think they give the best service and cover all areas of the UK.

The addition of the scenes with Taylor was interesting at first because it led to that great scene at the hotel where Lake was baring her insecurities to him. In this beautifully crafted world, surrounded by the characters I’d come to love with my whole heart. Colleen Hoover really ties all the loose ends together and manages to wrap the story together in the most beautiful way possible. I also loved sharing a bit of the honeymoon moments with them as well (even though I wished it were me!

But before starting This Girl, I didn’t have time to reread either of them and I wondered if I’d be able to connect to it as strongly as I did to the first two.
