About this deal

To access the special modes press and hold the mode button with the light on to change between spotlight or floodlight and release on the desired mode.

Inside the package we find the Nitecore TM20K with the Clip inserted, a rigid holster, a USB-C charging cable, a lanyard, the user manual (multilingual) and a card with photos of some of the previous Tiny Monsters produced by Nitecore in these years. The head contains no less than 19 similar XP-L2 LED lights, of which one is located in the middle in a separate and deep reflector. The TM20K has a built-in battery pack, so unfortunately that means that Nitecore’s warranty only covers you for 2 years.CARBON CONSTRUCTION - Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) is widely used in aerospace and automotive engineering. What’s a bit unexpected is that the spot light doesn’t seem to get brighter throughout the normal modes – only the flood ones do. If you've been looking to consolidate your gear and don't mind carrying a slightly larger sized light, this is the most advanced light to come out of Nitecore in years and it's going to serve you well for years to come. In terms of handling and the interface, although the TM20K lists ‘tactical’ modes, the layout of buttons and ease of access to them would not be my choice for use in a pressured situation. Other features make the torch special: The user can switch between floodlight (1800 lumens) and spotlight (1200 lumens).

International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions.I have been using the flashlight for a month and already one of the buttons that is responsible for maximum power has broken.

It is powered by built-in rechargeable 21700 Li-ion batteries that charge via a USB-C port on the tail of the light, and is compatible with Quick Charge (QC) adapters for fast charging. To lock the light you only need to put the slide to zero, or move it to the left (the head facing down, in case it is dark out).On the bottom side is the user mode selection switch and on the opposite side the mode button that we will use to change the available brightness levels. A blue power indicator light inside the metal tail switch flashes to indicate the remaining battery voltage.

Like is common these days the charger is missing: other than that there is not much left to be desired. The Low, Mid, High and Turbo levels use all 19 LEDs on, while the Ultralow level uses only the central LED (Spotlight) lighting. This is also backed by a CNC machined unibody design that contributes to excellent heat distribution and durability. As the ANSI output should be measured at 30s, the 8s Turbo output would mean ‘ANSI Turbo’ measurement was 3611 lm, so this means we can’t actually state an ANSI Turbo output and instead I have gone for ‘max at switch on’ for the value of Turbo, and this is what was used in the output table. The glass of the Nitecore TM20K comes with a protective film to be removed before use and, tied to the clip, a label with the warning to put the flashlight in the holster with the block inserted. The Runtime trend of the Medium level (1,900 lumens) is similar to that seen for the high level, but the initial sudden drop occurs 18 minutes after switching on, then maintaining a constant brightness up to over 3h38min before starting to go down and then to switch off shortly after 4 hours of work. The TM20K will head stand, tail stand and stay put when lying sideways, thanks to its flat surfaces.
