Living in Taunton, Somerset, this book (and series) has a lot of local flavour to interest me, but even without that, it still stands as a good story.

The book leans towards ‘blokey’ fiction, with lots of action - but enough good, strong women characters for me to enjoy it too. Uncertain on whether to dive straight into the latest instalment, concerned about whether the gap in books would be too distracting, I eventually threw caution to the wind and jumped back into the world of Bridgewater’s finest.

Ideally suited for bathrooms, wetrooms and kitchens, this mosaic provides a winning effect to any area in your home. It’s appealing glass finish complemented by it’s metal effects are sure to leave a lasting impression. Loved that car have a original picture somewhere with my Dad and Grandad driving off to see Saints Southampton Football Club at Wembley Final remember the yellow and blue scarfs hanging out of the windows. Available in five colours including Aqua, Brown, Grey and Pink, this mosaic can be matched with numerous tiles to create an outstanding area or feature wall. But when the squib of Avalon Carnival Club president Richard Webb is lit, it explodes, engulfing him in flames. However once he got everything geared up for the dénouement, it was a great page turner, and I raced through the last 25%.I like the characters in this series and the balance between developing the characters without over describing them, so we can have our own ideas of the protagonists while focusing on the plot.

If I had to look at this and come up with a plot for your next book it would have to be at a Classic Car show bit boring, but maybe one of the cars on display as a mark in the boot of one of the cars? It's also nice that all Damien Boyd's books are available on Kindle Unlimited, so they are free to me (apart from my monthly subscription, of course). One thing jarred with me however, the attempted suicide (or not) of one of those spirited away, that was never really explained. This is my 12th book of the Dixon series, a series I have enjoyed for a number of years and have kept up with when each book is "fresh off the press.I know everyone has their own opinion but there really isn’t a lot of bad language in this story and I have listened to it many times. The fresh Carnival Blue mosaic is sure to add a bright splash of colour and creative flair to any area it is displayed in. Squibbing, I mean I didn’t even know what it was, let alone that Somerset Carnival Clubs squibbing is something unique across the entire planet. By the way, Damion, if you read this, I have spent many happy hours in the Red Cow and enjoyed a decent pint and excellent food.
