Overall, Cars 2 became the seventh-biggest Pixar film in worldwide box office among the fourteen released, and was the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2011. No matter what you think about the movie itself, this high-def release of Cars 2 brilliantly showcases Pixar's world-class artistry and unparalleled technical prowess, making for a presentation that's absolutely flawless.

Aside from dazzling visuals, there is little to celebrate and much to bemoan about this sequel, which sets a clear low mark for the studio to steer clear of in the future. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. This Blu-ray feels like a present-day Pixar DVD -- a mere shadow of the studio's former excellence on the format -- with its pitiful supplemental offerings. Charming, intelligent and witty, she became the town attorney and the car most dedicated to preserving the town's historical beauty. Still, Walt Disney found time to voice Mickey Mouse through the late 1940s, and Lasseter, the closest to a present-day equivalent, has found time to direct Cars 2, supplanting Brad Lewis, who had started the project making his directorial debut alone and ended with a mere "co-director" credit. Update after rewatching on DVD - In my heart of hearts I can't justify this film being any higher than 3 stars so have downgraded my review rating.
