About this deal

A compilation of tracks by Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, and Airplane side projects, from 1966-1976. The audio quality is as good as the original master tapes available for the Japanese LP pressing and features JVC K2 24 Bit Remastering. On April 5, 2011, BGO Records released a remastered edition of Flight Log in a standard jewel case with cardboard slip cover. Although primarily a compilation album, the album includes one previously unreleased song: "Please Come Back" written by Ron Nagle and performed by Jefferson Starship.

Condition - This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description). The release features an exact reproduction of the Grunt 1977 edition of the LP packaging including a reduced scale reproduction of the original booklet and inner sleeve jackets for the CDs. It also contained a detailed history of the band, written by Patrick Snyder of Rolling Stone magazine.Ten years of Jefferson Airplane and various offshoots, this is a well-chosen compilation highlighted by "Come Up the Years", "Won't You Try Saturday Afternoon", "Hesitation Blues", "Pretty as You Feel" and "Sketches of China". Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Vote up content that is on-topic, within the rules/guidelines, and will likely stay relevant long-term. This pressing sounds fine, although the live version of "Somebody To Love" sounds a bit rough compared to the other songs. Flight Log was first reissued on CD by BMG Japan on October 22, 2008, as a part of the "Paper Sleeve Collection" reissue series (BVCM-35468-9).

Related Artists - Craig Chaquico, David Freiberg, Grace Slick, Jefferson Starship, KBC, Marty Balin, Mickey Thomas, Papa John Creach, Paul Kantner, Pete Sears, Peter Kaukonen, Starship, The Great Society.Rounding off well with the slick rocker, "Ride the Tiger", a hint of their future direction as the more commercial Starship. Unfortunately this has not been released on CD, so you'll have to locate a copy of the original vinyl. It also retains much of the original vinyl packaging (which was lavish in the extreme) and adds some new sleeve notes from the excellent John Tobler.
