I did not know a lot about this brand when I tried this product, I’ve never used any products by CeraVe. I love how this range makes quality ingredients and products way more accessible — and for me, it actually works. They both have the base Cerave formula of Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Cholesterol and the three essential Ceramides.

This helps to relieve weakened and sensitive skin, whilst repairing and protecting the skin's natural barrier. Upon trying the new blemish control cleanser, the texture and scent was similar to the other range and very natural, the product foams up well, and you only need a tad for the full face and neck. It has an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effect, helps to unclog pores, prevent blemishes and speed up healing of the existing ones. Aqua/Water, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid, Gluconolactone, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Ceramide Np, Ceramide Ap, Ceramide Eop, Carbomer, Calcium Gluconate, Triethyl Citrate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Cholesterol, Tetrasodium Edta, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Xanthan Gum, Hectorite, Phytosphingosine, Benzoic Acid. Acne Control Cleanser also maintains the skin’s protective barrier with 3 essential ceramides, calms the skin with niacinamide and reduces acne while leaving the skin soft, smooth and hydrated.There are so many good ingredients in this thing that would cost a fortune to get separately, they just need to make the directions better. The product has a super lightweight gel texture which feels comfortable on spots (even the painful ones), and works best overnight, IMO. But for someone like me with dry, dehydrated skin, I was a bit sceptical about this cleanser, but I still tried it because Cerave cleansers tend to work across all skin types. CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser contains: aqua/water, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, glycerin, niacinamide, salicylic acid, gluconolactone, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, peg-150 pentaerythrityl tetrastearate, ceramide np, ceramide ap, ceramide eop, carbomer, calcium gluconate, triethyl citrate, sodium benzoate, sodium hydroxide, sodium lauroyl lactylate, cholesterol, tetrasodium edta, caprylyl glycol, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate, xanthan gum, hectorite, phytosphingosine, benzoic acid. There was something I’m finding difficult to describe other than to say my face just feels overall clearer, parts of my face that are not prone to break outs feel clearer as well (I have combination skin, some dry patches some prone to break outs).

The way it absorbs into your skin, you won’t know you have something on and can be tempted to apply more so be mindful. To help reduce the appearance of discolouration and post-acne marks, change out the Blemish Control Gel for CeraVe Retinol Resurfacing Serum.It felt great on my skin and left my skin feeling nice and clean without stripping the oils or drying my skin out. I recently developed some whiteheads on my forehead, which Salicylic Acid is particularly great for treating. Therefore, applying CeraVe products which contain 3 essential ceramides directly to the skin can help to protect it's barrier and retain moisture. Once your skin's barrier has been damaged, it is prone to irritation and sensitivity such as dryness, redness, wrinkles, roughness and visible signs of dehydration.
