Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher or author in exchange for a free and honest review. but without giving the reader a reason WHY they acted that way until late in the book, it was hard to feel anything but annoyance toward their behavior. Yes, the beginning presented her with some strange symptoms that come and go, and the middle presented the reader with the guardian’s talking about Damali’s transformation, hence the cause of these symptoms, after she goes seemingly crazy.
