The 40-year-old tawny release from the famed port house of Graham's – the oldest in their regular range. An interesting feature of this vineyard is this – it is the only region in the world, which produces authentic Port wines.

In the United States, the Portuguese product, by Federal law pursuant to a treaty with Portugal, must be labelled ""Porto"" or ""Vinho do Porto"" for differentiation. It was also one of the first Port house to invest in its own vineyards and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. Graham's 40 Years Old Tawny Port is for those who appreciate the extraordinary, complex and subtle taste of time. Graham’s wines are produced in the five mountain vineyards located in the Upper Douro region in Portugal. This wine is composed by Graham's Master Blender from wines put aside in the cellar by his great-grandfather, grandfather, father and uncles.

They are vintage in the sense that they come from the produce of a specific year, but in most other respects are the opposite.Graham’s 40 Year Old Tawny shows a golden amber colour, with a pale green tinge at the rim, denoting great age. Great as an accompaniment to dark chocolate but can also be enjoyed alone, as a dessert in its own right. All of Graham’s Tawny Ports have their own individual characteristics, the complex flavours and aromas that pervade each of these unique wines have been developed through selecting only our top quality wines from Graham’s four spectacular Quinta’s in the Douro Valley to age in seasoned oak casks in our 1890 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia.

White ports are produced the same way as red ports, except that they use white grapes-Esgana-Cão, Folgasão, Malvasia, Rabigato, Verdelho, and Viosinho. The nose is complex with an array of zesty orange, cinnamon and rich dried fruit aromas that belies it's age statement. Aged for an average of 40 years in seasoned oak casks, our 40 Year Old Tawny is a testament to time and patience.
